How exciting to include in my repertoire underwater photography!
So many new technical problems to work through, but so many amazing possibilities.
One of my first attempts is this photo with the lovely Kaja.
From the technical standpoint, the water contains too many particles that can make the image hazy, still I can see wonderful colors and reflections. Now, how do you make this work?
One of the problems is shooting in water that is not clear. Look what happens!
This is like shooting through a haze. The camera will not properly focus. The white balance is generally off. The photo quality is poor at best.
Let's adjust for over saturation and white balance. This looks a little better.
Since the resolution of my monitor is so low, I cannot see the "backscatter" distinctly, but it effects my image and I want to remove at least some of it.
On my high res monitor this is better. Now I will get down to the fine details...
At least I got started.
